The Summer edition 2009 is now up for your delight, delectation and information. This issue covers insurance of the personal nature and it's extension to the more mature dancer. Morris and the way that it is regarded by the wider world is covered in two articles. Motley Morris write of their experience in appearing on the magic goldfish bowl which neatly meshes with an item on rates of pay for film and TV work. The experiences of Warburton Soulers and English Miscellany trying to get permission to perform mummers plays leads to an encounter with the PEL whilst elsewhere we discuss getting on good trems with your council officers! Oh and Paul White continues to export the traditions of England to La Belle France. So hit the button marked "2009" and enjoy an illuminating read.
Welcome to the Morris Federation Newsletter web site. The site contains links to current and some past editions of the Newsletter. In order to access these you will require a PDF reader. If you do not have one then a search on the web for "Adober PDF reader" will quickly locate a free download for you. Or here is a free download from the Adobe site which I have used myself. Just a word of warning here if you already have a version of Acrobat Reader then you might find stepping up the the latest release a bit of a shock. My "old" version 5 took up 15Mb the shiny new Version 8 takes up a stunning 85Mb! But see the feedback page for a comment on another way to skin the PDF cat.
If you find problems getting the PDF files to load or open then try checking your control panel options under the folders icon and checking that the PDF extension is on the list of file types and that Acrobat is set up as the preferred program to open the file type. Assuming that you finally get the PDF open; enjoy the reading!
